Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Programme

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprentice. This 5-year programme will provide you with the skills and experience needed to work on emergency services aircraft.

About the Programme

Our Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Programme is designed to give you the experience and skills you need to work on emergency services aircraft. You will train to become a fully licensed engineer, responsible for the airworthiness of critical air ambulances.

Your Training

You will receive both practical and theoretical training, including a 9-month residential course based at Kemble Airfield in Gloucestershire. You will learn how to do maintenance inspections, component changes and repairs on a variety of aircraft.

What You'll Need

To be eligible for this programme, you will need a minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above in subjects including Maths, English and Science. A Level 3/A-Levels or equivalent in a STEM subject is preferred. You will also need a full driving licence and a genuine interest in mechanical engineering and aviation.
