Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Savills Management Resources. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and improvements to our residential building.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, and painting and decorating work
- Carry out daily and weekly building health and safety checks, reporting any issues to the Resident Services Manager
- Monitor council waste collections and report any issues
- Change light bulbs, lamps, and fittings in the amenity space and car park
- Report defects to the Resident Services Manager and building developer
- Provide support and assistance to PPM and other contractors on site
- Complete inventory check in and out reports as required
- Coordinate repairs with residents and external contractors
- Assist in mid-term property inspections across all occupied apartments
- Assist in maintaining the Savills compliance system under the direction of the RSM and Facilities Manager
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with residents and colleagues
- Proactive and dynamic, taking ownership of all core duties
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven experience as a handyman or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, displaying sensitivity to and understanding of residents' needs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
- Competent in using Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Flexible and cooperative at all times, working as a member of a team
- Understanding of the importance of achieving deadlines and ensuring quality output
- Use initiative and take responsibility for providing solutions
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all business, client, and customer documentation/information
- Well-groomed and of smart appearance
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary
Competitive salary, plus 10% discretionary year-end bonus
