About the Role:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Operations Management team, you will play a critical role in managing health and safety within our Fulfillment Centre.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the health and safety function at the Fulfillment Centre, ensuring delivery of objectives through supervision of staff.
  • Proactively engage in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites, driving improvements in inbound safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to stakeholders within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Review and audit health and safety management arrangements, continuously improving them where necessary.
  • Develop strategies to plan and organise work systems, reducing health and safety risks and recommending mitigations and processes.
  • Establish robust reporting regimes for Health and Safety metrics.
  • Drive behavioural culture change programmes across large, complex, multi-shift operations.
  • Implement and review company global safety policies, ensuring compliance with local HSE requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level and additional qualifications to NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  • Relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Prior experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies is desirable.
  • Ancillary benefits include a competitive salary range $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, which may vary based on location and performance, depending on individual circumstances. Your remuneration package will be commensurate with your skills and experience.
