We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at bet365. As a Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our complex network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and respond to network incidents and service requests, providing technical support to end-users and resolving network-related issues.
- Support and maintain our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimum performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime, throughput, and latency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide network solutions that align with organisational objectives.
- Perform network upgrades, including firmware updates and hardware replacements, while minimising disruption to the operation.
- Document network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting guides to maintain an accurate record of the network infrastructure.
- Ensure network compliance meets our networking standards.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices at a low level, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
- Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP, and IP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Understanding of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
- Experience in working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
- Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
- Excellent documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting steps.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end-users, and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
