Technical Director for Autonomy Systems

We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead the development of our autonomy software suite. As a Technical Director, you will be responsible for designing and architecting multi-domain software products, overseeing technical development, and mentoring junior team members. You will also lead agile teams, develop imaginative solutions for complex challenges, and collaborate with Client Managers to drive future business growth.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee technical development and ensure timely delivery
• Mentor junior team members and advocate industry best practices
• Develop imaginative solutions for complex challenges
• Lead agile teams and deliver complex solutions at pace
• Collaborate with Client Managers to drive future business growth
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience developing in modern C++ and proficiency in Embedded C/C++ for autonomous vehicles. Strong problem-solving skills, including developing prototypes and overcoming challenges, are essential. Experience working in and leading agile teams is required, as well as strong leadership skills and the ability to support team growth. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work alongside customers are necessary for success in this role.
Estimated salary: £100,000 - £130,000 per year, based on location and experience.
