**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Redline Group Ltd. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative products for various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering staff to design and develop mechanical systems, including electronics housings, test equipment, and production jigs and fixtures.
  • Utilize CAE design tools such as SolidWorks to create engineering information, including 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Maintain and update engineering drawings and documentation on projects.
  • Apply geometric tolerances and dimensions in the production of detailed manufacturing information.
  • Use simulation, analysis, and hand calculations to verify engineering designs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Provable experience of product development in an industrial setting.
  • A strong background in 3D CAD design, ideally using SolidWorks, but any mainstream 3D CAD package experience is acceptable.
  • Electro-mechanical packaging / enclosure design.
  • Design calculations from engineering fundamentals. Some exposure to stress analysis (FEA) would be beneficial but not essential.
