We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cafe Team Leader to join our team at The University of Manchester's Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our retail cafes, ensuring a consistent and customer-focused catering offer that promotes a positive visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of a high-quality catering offer, promoting a positive visitor experience at all times
  • Actively support the supervisor in mentoring and guiding colleagues for appropriate service standards
  • Assist with food preparation, stock control, and storage
  • Ensure that areas are well presented, and maintain a clean, tidy, welcoming, safe, and hygienic environment at all times

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a cafe environment
  • Food hygiene and allergen qualifications
  • Significant understanding of health and safety relevant to working in a cafe
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Good team worker, reliable, and flexible
