We accelerate medicines using proprietary biosimulation software, technology and services to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Our clients include more than 2,000 biopharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and regulatory agencies across the globe.

We are seeking undergraduate level students who share our passion for using quantitative approaches to understand complex drug discovery and development questions. You will learn about breaking science in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP), utilising mathematical systems models of disease to discover novel medicines. You will work closely with Certara staff to generate state-of-the-art QSP models for pharmaceutical R&D users. These models will be designed in dialogue with clients and developed to create user-friendly models informing drug development programs from discovery to regulatory filing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist QSP modellers in finding relevant data through literature searching and capturing data where necessary.
  • Prepare data for analysis and fitting.
  • Conduct data fitting, plotting, and model building as required.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in biology and mathematics, physics, or computer science at A-level or equivalent.
  • Have a strong educational background in biomedical/life sciences, bioengineering, biochemistry, or similar field.
  • Be willing to relocate to the UK.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in basic programming languages such as R, Python, or Matlab.
  • Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other modern communications technology.

Estimate Salary Range: £42,500 per annum
