Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Service Strategy & Design Lead to join our Technology Service Operations team at Transport For London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and document non-functional service requirements for new or changed services.
- Represent service requirements at project gateways to ensure delivery.
- Develop and document service acceptance criteria for new or changed services.
- Ensure changes are assessed and managed in accordance with contracts and standards.
- Produce and assure technical and operational documentation for changes.
- Update business and service catalogues for new or changed services.
- Work with the Service Performance Manager to design and implement new or changed services.
- Lead service design from a technical change perspective, engaging with technical teams.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Directorate, Suppliers, and TfL operating businesses.
Key Interfaces:
- Senior TfL business stakeholders.
- Head of departments and Service Owners, Programme and project management teams.
- Commercial stakeholders.
- Finance stakeholders.
- Service suppliers.
- TSO counterparts.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to influence at a senior leader level.
- Proven ability to manage interactions between suppliers, internal teams, and customers.
- Proven analytical skills to interpret complex data and make business decisions.
- Motivating and leading others towards achievement.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- ITIL Service Design and/or Management certification.
- Broad knowledge of software development, DevOps, and Project Management methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud computing service models.
- Knowledge of IT applications in public transportation and its business environment.
- Financial processes and commercial management best practice.
- IT System architecture and life cycle management best practices and controls.
