Companion Care Worker

To succeed in this role, you will require a combination of experience, skills, and personal qualities. We are looking for a support worker who is experienced in providing care to individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and mental health support. You will need to be confident in handling potentially difficult situations, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
You will be passionate about delivering person-centred care that prioritises the individual's needs, preferences, and values. Your ability to develop techniques to calm and de-escalate challenging behaviour will be highly valued, as will your commitment to promoting independence and empowering our customer to make informed decisions about their life.
A strong understanding of complex needs and a willingness to learn and develop your skills are essential for this role. If you have a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or higher, you may be eligible for a pay enhancement.
