About Us

Care after Combat is a rapidly expanding, veteran-focused registered charity in the UK. We specialize in supporting veterans entangled in the justice system, offering a unique approach that sets us apart from other charities. Our flagship program, Project Phoenix, provides peer mentorship to veterans in prison, aiding their rehabilitation and reintegration into society upon release.

Our Mission

We strive to deliver life-changing support to vulnerable veterans, reducing recidivism rates and promoting community well-being. Our goal is to establish ourselves as the premier provider of care and support services for veterans in need.

The Role

We seek an exceptional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Care after Combat with drive, empathy, and commitment. As CEO, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to expand our reach, enhance engagement, and ensure the best possible outcomes for our beneficiaries.

  • Liaise closely with the Chair to facilitate the Board of Trustees' duties and responsibilities, ensuring timely advice and information are provided on all relevant matters.
  • Provide leadership to the charity, overseeing management and administration within agreed legal, strategic, policy, and accountability frameworks.
Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Fostering strong relationships with public, private, and third sector organizations to advance our mission.
  • Driving diversification of support services and income streams to secure the charity's future.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Proven leadership experience in the charity sector or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges facing veterans and the importance of tailored support services.
