Dental Nurse/Dental Receptionist

Career Vision Recruiters is seeking an experienced Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our multidisciplinary practice in Ennis, Co. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and expanding environment.

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Provide excellent patient record keeping, including accurate and detailed dental charting and treatment notes.
• Maintain a clean and organized dental surgery, following strict infection control protocols.
• Decontaminate and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and materials for treatment.
• Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
• Manage and maintain dental supplies and inventory, restocking as necessary.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling.

• Provide excellence in customer service, greeting and registering patients on a day-to-day basis at the reception desk.
• Provide information and reassurance to patients about their treatment.
• Handle, record, and resolve patient complaints in line with company guidelines.
• Manage phone and email communications throughout the day.
• Perform daily cashing up exercises for the practice.
• Manage appointment books to ensure maximization of working hours.
• Provide support to clinicians by sending prescriptions, referral letters, x-rays, etc.
• Perform local administration tasks, such as filing, scanning, lodgements, and postage.
• Manage payor claim administration for GMS, PRSI, VHI, and DeCare.
• Track and ensure accuracy of claim forms.
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports from Exact.
• Complete various spreadsheets for accounts purposes.

We are looking for a candidate with a great command of the English language (both written and oral) and the ability to exhibit a positive attitude, take initiative, and always put the patients first. Previous experience is preferred, and experience working as a Dental Nurse in a clinic environment is an advantage. Proven ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced environment is essential. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under fluctuating levels of pressure and people skills that show a good working relationship in a multi-disciplinary team are also required. Experience using a range of software packages effectively and experience cash handling are also necessary. Neat and tidy, with grooming appropriate to a clinical setting, punctual and reliable work attendance are also essential.
