Key Responsibilities:

As a Principal Technical Officer Electrification, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Maintenance Engineering team. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out work safely and in accordance with safe systems of work procedures, method statements, plans, and other instructions.

• Managing and checking the quality of work delivered and confirming assets are compliant to standards.

• Managing the preparation of work and resource specifications, method statements, and plans.

• Managing information to update systems, databases, and records.

• Adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Undertaking and supervising technical tasks, survey, and design work.

• Designing, installing, testing, and commissioning equipment.

• Providing technical support and guidance.

• Undertaking technical inspections, tests, investigations, and analysis of technical data.

• Updating and providing information to accurately update systems, databases, and records as required.

• Prioritizing work arising and agreeing work plans for the group.

• Preparing specifications and requisitioning for materials.

• Managing processes and systems for the calibration and certification of tools and equipment.

• Contributing to your own development and that of others.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience of technical support activities and techniques.

• Knowledge and experience of electrification and plant maintenance and construction management process, systems, and standards.

• Knowledge and experience of design requirements, processes, and techniques.

• Ability to demonstrate, promote, and embed safe working behaviors within the team.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Ability to coach, influence, and develop others.

• Hold and retain the competencies relevant to this post and required by business need.

• Ideally hold or be working towards and NVQ level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in an engineering/leadership subject.

• Ability and willingness to drive vehicles as required by business need.
