Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Veolia, a leading provider of environmental solutions. As a Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine CHP engine servicing and maintenance within agreed timescales.
- Fault find and diagnose issues with engine reliability and performance, with successful rectification and return to service of the unit.
- Assist Customer Account Manager and Operational Team Leaders on all aspects of CHP maintenance.
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures, as well as Veolia's policies and procedures.
- Be conversant with the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment required to carry out CHP servicing and repairs.
- Have qualifications and/or experience on gas engine maintenance, with a willingness to be trained.
- Have sound knowledge in engineering practices and be conversant with the operation of CHP plant.
- Be Gas Safe trained or willing to undertake training (paid by Veolia).
- Undertake weekend (1 in 5) call-out duties as required by management.
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
