Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at Howells Solutions Limited. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing technical and complex projects from start to finish, providing a highly professional and competent service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Assist senior surveyors in managing property portfolios and transactions.
  • Prepare detailed technical due diligence reports to inform client decisions.
  • Perform building pathology surveys to identify potential issues.
  • Monitor construction work and the performance of project design teams to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Produce high-quality reports to clients and engage in face-to-face communication to build strong relationships.
  • Travel to appointments throughout the UK, primarily in London and the South East.
  • Utilize expertise in Party Wall matters, Dilapidations, Defect diagnosis, and Contract Administration to provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with current Building Regulations and ensure compliance in all projects.
  • Manage contracts from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective external relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensure possession of a reliable vehicle for business use.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated and professional individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Specialized skills in building surveying, project management, and budgetary control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a wide range of stakeholders.
Working with a Leading Social Housing Provider

You will be working on a planned maintenance contract encompassing kitchen and bathroom renovations, window and door replacements, damp and mold treatments, and other essential repairs.

As a Building Surveyor, you will collaborate with senior building surveyors to support them in managing their property portfolios and transactions.

You will be responsible for overseeing technical and complex projects from start to finish, delivering a highly professional and competent service with exceptional customer satisfaction.

Compensation:

£28 per hour PAYE or £36 per hour CIS (Individual UTR number required).
