Job Description

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children aged 11-16 to support their learning and engagement.

The ideal candidate will be empathetic, driven, and passionate about working with young people. They will have strong communication skills, be able to deal with situations calmly and sensitively, and have a collaborative approach to working with other staff and families.

The role will involve supporting students with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH), as well as supporting the teacher to deliver lessons effectively.

While experience in an education setting is beneficial, it is not essential. We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including Youth Work, Care/Hospital experience, Art/Creative backgrounds, and Psychology/Sociology Graduates.
