Ancala Water Services (Defence) Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join its team. As part of our front-line operation, this role is responsible for ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance of electrical assets across our clean and wastewater sites is completed to a high standard.



This is a customer-facing role based in the Hampshire area, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial asset maintenance, with experience in reading panel drawings and fault-finding single or three-phase systems. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to obtain Security Clearance, which involves a Criminal Record Check and a full MoD Security Application and associated verification processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing PPM & reactive electrical tasks within timescale, quality and cost parameters, building and developing relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and sub-contractors, and working to improve the value, performance and overall service of the M&E Team.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Completing PPM & reactive electrical tasks within timescale, quality and cost parameters
  • Building and developing relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Working to improve the value, performance and overall service of the M&E Team
  • Identifying follow-on work after completing planned or reactive tasks
  • Working in a lean manner to minimise travel time and disruption to our customers
  • Conducting risk assessments and creating method statements where required to safely carry out maintenance activities


Requirements:




  • 18th Edition / C&G Level 3 / Electrical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience
  • A background within an industrial asset maintenance setting is crucial for this role
  • Ability to read panel drawings and fault find single or three-phase systems
  • Experience with inverters, motors and star delta system
  • Self-motivation with the desire to contribute positively and productively to the team
  • Strong communication skills to allow you to keep colleagues and customers informed of job progress
  • Willingness to take part in a regional on-call rota to provide out of hours response and support to customers
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision and travelling to sites in your area as required
  • Ability to work as a problem solver who can respond well to conflicting and changing priorities
