Job Title: Psychology Graduate

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with pupils who require additional support in a SEMH secondary school setting.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, delivering intervention sessions in maths. You will provide intensive support to small groups of learners, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with additional needs in a SEMH secondary school setting
  • Deliver maths intervention sessions to small groups of learners
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils who require additional help
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology or a relevant subject
  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
  • A genuine passion for promoting the social and emotional well-being of students
  • Ability to remain resilient and handle challenging behavior in a composed and professional manner
