Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Keele, Cheshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining site equipment and machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Providing fault diagnosis both mechanically and electrically.
  2. Executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and contributing to its improvement.
  3. Offering mechanical/electrical support during breakdowns.
  4. Recording work done in the Maintenance Management System (SAP), including technical feedback.
  5. Participating in feasibility studies, Capex, and continuous improvement projects as needed.
  6. Adhering to health and safety, environmental, and quality management policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of several years' experience in maintenance within a continuous process control industry.
  • A recognized apprenticeship in a relevant field and relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications.
  • An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach with flexibility.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles and a desire to progress within the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent communication skills and a good level of computer literacy.
