Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled clinical specialist to join our team at Medical Solutions. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Excellence
  • Deliver outstanding medical or surgical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, under the supervision of a consultant.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, investigations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Carry out and supervise procedures relevant to the specialty.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Liaise with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth patient care pathway.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • A recognized medical qualification allowing registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK.
  • Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice.
  • A minimum of four years of postgraduate experience is usually required, with at least two years in a relevant specialty.
  • Relevant specialty experience is essential.
  • Membership of a Relevant Royal College (Desirable): Additional postgraduate qualifications such as MRCP or MRCS are advantageous.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Equivalent: For roles in acute specialties, ALS or equivalent certification is often required.
  • Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and management abilities, with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including:
