About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our Finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall day-to-day running of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of all aspects of Purchase Ledger transactions using Merlin
  • Set up new suppliers and post supplier invoices
  • Raise and make supplier payments through BACS
  • Post and reconcile staff expenses
  • Reconcile Vat and submit quarterly returns
  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Analyse variances in the management accounts and recommend improvements
  • Post accruals and prepayment journals
  • Closing monthly and yearly nominal ledgers
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive best practices and process efficiencies
  • Promote and drive strong relationships with the purchasing team and other departments
  • Recommend operational improvements
  • Deliver accurate month-end reporting across 4 legal entities
  • Assist in month-end analysis and commentary
  • Maintain financial control and ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience of using Merlin or similar applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with 30 minutes lunch break. Monthly close outside normal office hours are a standard requirement in this role.
