Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections of fire dampers in accordance with BS9999, installing access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144, and performing installation, repair, and maintenance of passive fire stopping and fire dampers, including ductwork modifications. They will also conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed and follow a preventative maintenance program as instructed. Additionally, they will make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant and recommend the purchase of goods and equipment. The incumbent must maintain personal equipment and materials stocks inventories and provide written reports as required. They will also ensure that records are maintained.

All applicants are required to work within the guidance provided by BS 9999, RRO 2005 Order, and DW144/145 and associated company documents, and guidance, to ensure that any plant worked on is tested, compliant, safe, and free from risks. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake any other duties associated with the output of the Regional Team as required.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday with a requirement to work overtime that will include some weekend work.
