Paediatric and Neonatal Clinical Fellow

As a Clinical Fellow, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will also have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge, working with experienced clinicians and mentors to achieve your full potential.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in Ward Rounds on Rainbow Ward and the Neonatal Unit, and completing all jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Accepting paediatric referrals from GPs, A&E, and seeing children in the PECC in a timely fashion.
- Completing discharge summaries in a timely manner, ensuring that all relevant information is included.
- Attending to any emergencies immediately, including on Labour Ward.
- Participating in the on-call rota for Tier 1, working weekends and nights, and being available to provide support and advice to colleagues as needed.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full GMC Registration.
- M.B., Ch.B or equivalent.
- Completed Foundation Y1 competencies or equivalent.
- Understanding and awareness of particular requirements and demands of working with children and their parents.
- Previous experience working within the NHS or having a clinical attachment within the NHS.
- Demonstrates reflective approach to practice and commitment to personal development.
