Democratic Governance Officer

The Association of Democratic Services Officers is a unique and innovative organization that plays a vital role in supporting the decision-making processes of local councils. Our team works closely with Elected Members, providing governance advice and organizing their training and development.

We are seeking an experienced Democratic Governance Officer to join our dynamic team in North Norfolk. As a key member of our team, you will provide procedural advice and support to the Council's decision-making bodies, ensuring the successful implementation of our goals and targets.

Salary: £32,076 – £35,745 per annum

This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work in a fast-paced, political environment. You will use your judgment and experience to provide sound advice to Members, as well as develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems.

About the Role:

• Provide procedural advice and support to the Council's decision-making bodies
• Work closely with the Council's Senior Management Team and Elected Members to shape and ensure the success of North Norfolk District Council
• Use your judgment and experience to provide sound advice to Members
• Develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems
• Work effectively across teams, the council, stakeholders, and communities
• Develop, capture, and share learning
