Refurbishment Engineer for Welfare Units

Join our team as a skilled engineer in Manchester, where you will be responsible for the refurbishment of welfare units.

Key Tasks:
  • Strip and inspect used welfare units, identifying areas that require repair and maintenance
  • Carry out floor repairs, reupholster seat covers, and conduct bodywork prepping and correction
  • Perform minor internal joinery tasks, including kitchen fitting
  • Execute minor welding tasks to ensure the structural integrity of the unit

Upon completion of the refurbishment process, hand over the unit to an engineer who will install electrical and mechanical components.

Working Hours and Compensation:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Flexible working hours available, with start times between 7am and 9am. The estimated annual salary for this role is £36,000 - £39,000, with overtime paid at an enhanced rate.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in refurbishing welfare units or similar structures
  • Minor welding skills
