Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

• Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with the project team, including the Client, Project Managers, and Designers.
• Manage, supervise, and mentor direct reports to ensure the timely production of reliable cost performance data.
• Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting, and input to subcontract documents.
• Commercially manage subcontractors, including processing payments, obtaining final account agreements, and resolving disputed issues by negotiation.
• Assist in the production of monthly/quarterly reports to ensure the timely production of appropriate levels of applications for payments in accordance with the provisions of the conditions of contract.
• Attend and provide input to all site commercial meetings, providing commercial advice to the site team.
• Manage time and workloads for yourself and your commercial team in a structured manner.

• Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating effective core commercial skills.
• Demonstratable ability to mentor and coach direct reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the project team.
• Confidence and ability to work within a team environment, and to have a positive influence on outcomes.
