About the Role

As a Trainee Herdsperson, you will be working closely with our experienced Herd Manager to develop your career and progression in dairy farming. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the daily management of the herd and ensuring animal welfare is the top priority
  • Assisting with tractor and machinery operations
  • Contributing to the overall running of the dairy unit
  • Developing your skills in dairy farming and livestock management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of agriculture and dairy farming principles
  • Basic foundation skills in dairy farming
  • Motivation, adaptability, and passion for agriculture
  • A full UK driving license
  • Telehandler and forklift license (desirable)
