Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work within our community Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as part of a clinical team, delivering specialist psychiatric care to patients aged 0-18 years.
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues from various disciplines, including nurses, psychologists, therapists, and medical professionals.
  • Take a leadership role in improving service quality, working closely with management and clinical colleagues.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be registered with the GMC, licensed to practice, and on the Specialist Register as a child and adolescent psychiatrist or eligible for CCT within 6 months of the interview date.
  • Further relevant qualifications, such as teaching or higher education experience, are desirable.
Desirable Qualities
  • A proven track record of developing strong partnerships with other agencies and organizations.
  • Experience in research related to CAMHS, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in the field.
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively, take responsibility, and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with patients, colleagues, and relatives.
About the Role
