We are partnering with a well-established Food business to recruit a newly created role as Global Procurement Manager - Food within their global purchasing operations.

This is a unique opportunity to join a reputable company in the Food industry, with a proven track record of supplying to major supermarkets for over 45 years.

As the Global Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing and negotiation of finished goods, playing a key role in establishing excellent relationships with the supply base, coordinating robust and efficient supply chains, and developing procurement strategies that align with the wider business and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Select and manage suppliers through identification, evaluation, quality control, and risk assessment, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement global procurement strategies, optimising cost through negotiation of contracts, terms, and pricing.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of buyers to excel in procurement practices and support strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Global procurement experience, ideally within the Food, FMCG, or Finished Goods industry.
  • Management of global suppliers, ensuring optimisation of driving value and supply chain efficiency, building healthy relationships, and ensuring continuous flow.
  • Team management experience, developing junior members of the team and responsible for coaching and mentoring their progression.
