We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Polytec Personnel Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all procurement activities for our client based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Identify, select, and approve new suppliers to meet the needs of our client.
- Negotiate and establish contractual agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
- Implement cost reduction targets and lean inventory management practices to optimize our client's supply chain.
- Ensure that materials are delivered in a timely manner to support customer demand.
- Establish an escalation path for purchasing and supplier issues to ensure prompt resolution.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance our client's supply chain operations.
- Develop and implement cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives to drive business growth.
- Manage the introduction of new products and services to our client's supply chain.
- Travel internationally to meet with suppliers and clients as required.
- Hold a degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
- Hold a professional certification in purchasing or supply chain management, such as MCIPS.
- Have extensive experience in supply chain management, preferably in the electronics, telecommunications, or consumer goods industries.
- Have experience managing complex global supplier and customer relationships.
- Have experience leading teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics AX.
- Have experience managing offshore contract manufacturing operations.
- Be able to influence at senior levels within our organization and with external stakeholders.
