Junior Buyer

The Very Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Buyer - Character and License to join our team. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and licensing of all characters and designs that we sell at The Very Group.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the key strategic brand relationship with external brands and licensees.
- Develop and implement a clear roadmap for the next 6-24 months, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
- Be the voice of The Very Group at supplier meetings and selections.
- Link the strategy into the wider category priorities and business initiatives, maximizing opportunities to drive growth.
- Coach and develop direct reports, driving career growth and performance.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of current market trends, demonstrable experience working within the character and license area, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work with a wide trend knowledge across the market, both pure-play and multi-channel.
- Demonstrable strong negotiation and influencing skills, with both internal and external stakeholders.
