Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Spanish Language Educator to join our Modern Foreign Languages department. This part-time position involves teaching Spanish to students in Key Stage 3, helping them develop a strong foundation in the language and culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to KS3 students, utilizing a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and effective curriculum that meets the needs of all students, incorporating relevant cultural and linguistic aspects.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning, student participation, and a love for the Spanish language and culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to the overall development of the MFL department, and enhance the educational experience for students.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong background in Spanish language and culture.
  • Degree in Spanish or a related field, with a focus on linguistics, literature, or education.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at the secondary school level, preferably KS3, with a proven track record of success in engaging students and promoting language acquisition.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish language, including grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying updated on the latest teaching methodologies, technologies, and best practices in language education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
