Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as a Sports Coach/Behaviour Support Worker in an Alternative Provision, providing individualized support to students in their classrooms. This role requires a compassionate individual dedicated to empowering the educational journey of students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with lead teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
  • Assist students with challenging behaviors.
  • Contribute to the academic and social development of students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors.

Essential Skills:

This role requires a dedicated professional who can create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is essential.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience.
