Cardiac Surgery Specialist

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Cardiac Surgery Specialist. This is a dynamic and challenging role that will provide excellent clinical, teaching, and research opportunities.
About the RoleThis post will be based in the Bristol Heart Institute, a world-renowned centre for cardiac surgery. You will work closely with a team of experienced surgeons and medical professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our junior medical workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the delivery of cardiac surgery services, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative care, and post-operative management.
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in teaching and training programs for junior medical staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
- Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, including data analysis and publication of findings.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- GMC registration by the starting date.
- MRCS (UK) or equivalent qualification.
- At least 4 years of higher surgical training in cardiac surgery.
