About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong mathematical background and skills in C++ to join our Agile working environment as part of a scrum team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field, and a minimum of 4 years experience using C++.

You will be responsible for creating new features and enhancing the current 3D design tools for the CAD/CAM software range, while mentoring junior developers on the team. You will also collaborate with the Product Owner to analyse requirements and design bespoke solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing high-quality, efficient and maintainable C++ code.">
  • Collaborating within an Agile Scrum team to deliver iterative solutions.">
  • Working closely with the Product Owner to analyse requirements and design bespoke solutions.">
  • Engaging in peer programming and code reviews.">
  • Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.">
  • Investigating and resolving customer-reported issues.">
  • Presenting developments to the wider organisation.">

Salary and Benefits:

">

The salary for this position is estimated at £58,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also receive 25 days holidays + bank holidays (3-day rollover allowance), 5-hour working week, additional Christmas holiday, flexitime and hybrid working.
