As a sub editor, you will utilize your keen attention to detail and knowledge of media law to ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our articles. The role will involve refining content across LADbible, UNILAD, and Tyla. Your design skills and interest in visual journalism will be used to enhance the brand identity of our content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all deadlines are met within set timeframes
  • Editing trending and original articles at speed
  • Creating infographics to complement articles
  • Designing social media assets
  • Understanding the tone of each brand
  • Remaining proactive by researching and seeking the latest news, trends, gossip, and reports ahead of competitors
  • Actively contributing to team meetings, pitches, and generating ideas
  • Monitoring user activity on articles and using it to inform edits

Requirements:

  • Have a journalistic background with 1+ years' experience in a newsroom/similar role
  • NCTJ qualified
  • Proficiency in Photoshop
  • Outstanding writing, research, and editing skills
  • Target driven and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proven SEO knowledge/experience
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office
  • An interest in visual storytelling
