We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Specialist to join our team at McElroy Resourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing products that are technically feasible and commercially profitable.
Main Responsibilities:
- To design products that meet the company's production processes and machinery requirements.
- To research and stay up-to-date with new materials, parts, and methods of deployment.
- To develop detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing.
- To use CAD design software to create models and drawings of products.
- To ensure components and designs meet applicable industry and business standards.
- To liaise with manufacturing to ensure that products are manufactured according to the drawing and designs.
The successful candidate must have:
- A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- 2 years related design/development work experience.
- Strong knowledge of 3D SolidWorks.
- Experience using Microsoft packages.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A team player.
