Job Summary:

Norse Group is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our Exeter Engineering team. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technical services to our clients, primarily within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to or lead the engineering of projects/workstreams from conception to completion.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships.
  • Carry out allocated projects within determined time frames, to budget and fee cost targets.
  • Ensure scheme design and supervision costs are kept within scales and targets.
  • Deliver civil projects in full in accordance with client briefs and professional standards.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed practice procedures, technical standards, and standing orders.
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) briefs and commission necessary FRAs.
  • Provide site investigation briefs, assess site conditions, and carry out an interpretation of soil reports.
  • Carry out civil engineering surveys to identify defects, establish documentation cause, and provide recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification (Degree or HNC/D equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Civil Engineering project experience.
  • Knowledge of industry best practice and professional standards.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Working knowledge of relevant design software (AutoCAD/Civil3d, Causeway Flow etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • A current CSCS site card or prepared to obtain following appointment.
