Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist to support our project team in the management of data, production of reports, and provision of insight to enable effective decision making.

The successful candidate will have experience in cost management applications, particularly iTWO, and be skilled at cost control and earned value analysis.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining and reporting a robust forecast in iTWO, maintaining and reporting earned value, quantity progress, and forecasts in iTWO, and ensuring alignment between various systems that support project reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, with the ability to effectively interpret data and provide input on business process improvement.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and the ability to get work completed to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and report a robust forecast in iTWO.
  2. Maintain and report earned value, quantity progress, and forecasts in iTWO.
  3. Ensure alignment between various systems that support project reports.
  4. Provide reports on time supported by robust data and insight that will enable decision making.
  5. Gather project site updates and prepare periodic progress reports.
  6. Monitor, interpret, and advise on cashflow and budgets.
  7. Create monthly budget forecast updates for management.
  8. Liaise with and assist internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Understand and comply with HSSE policies.

Required Qualifications, Skills, Behaviours, and Attributes

  1. Experience in cost management applications, particularly iTWO.
  2. Skilled at cost control and earned value analysis.
  3. Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
  4. Working knowledge of project interfaces on construction projects.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Competent user of Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Knowledge of the engineering and construction industry.
  8. An ability to effectively interpret data and provide input on business process improvement.

Desirable

  1. Qualifications from NEC, iTWO, APM, or a university.
  2. Experience in developing reports in Power BI.
