Deputy Finance Manager

The Deputy Finance Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Finance in managing the financial health of the company and ensuring the smooth operation of our Finance department. This hands-on position requires a team player who can work closely with the finance team on daily operations, financial reporting, and stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Finance in developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Represent the team at a senior level, providing financial advice to the organisation when required.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Work closely with the finance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure efficient workflow and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate accounting of inventory and timely reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analysing variances and providing insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, assisting with internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- ACCA or CMA certification preferred. AAT Level 4 Diploma accepted if any of the above qualifications are in a final stage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in stock management is essential.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
- Proficiency in SAP Business One (SAP B1) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
