Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Survey Engineer to join our team at the University of Greenwich. As an integral member of the estate management team, you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate asset register and implementing effective change controls.

This role offers the ideal candidate a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of asset management practices within a dynamic estate environment. With a focus on analytical skills and technical knowledge, you will play a key role in improving asset management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate property-related asset data.
  • Ensure adequate control and monitoring of asset management activity.
  • Evaluate and monitor asset condition data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for robust management and handover of new or replacement assets.
  • Support the development of an accurate PPM schedule.
  • Contribute to overall business management and develop good relationships with associated parties.

Requirements:

  • A degree in building surveying, M&E engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant relevant experience operating at middle-management level in a professional services environment or estate department.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S and quality control principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with desktop applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Membership of CIOB, RICS, CIBSE, IWFM and extensive experience in the built environment and statutory compliance.
  • Demonstrable experience in creating value from asset management.
  • A flexible approach to overcoming challenges and continually improving service delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in lifecycle planning in large and complex estates and analytical approach to data-led decision making.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
