Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trust and Finance Officer. This role will be responsible for providing administrative and financial support to our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Process and manage financial transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and record-keeping.
    • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to resolve any financial issues.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide administrative support to the Board of Trustees and CEO, including arranging meetings and preparing minutes.
    • Coordinate the organization's policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Support the recruitment process, including preparing documentation and organizing interviews.
  • Retail and Sales Support
    • Monitor and manage online stock levels, placing orders as necessary.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date data in our retail management system.
    • Support the sales team at our retail outlet.
  • General Administration
    • Monitor and respond to incoming correspondence, including emails and letters.
    • Provide general administrative support to the team, as required.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Knowledge of basic financial processes and procedures.
    • Working knowledge of accountancy software, including Xero and Excel.
    • Experience of organizing and supporting meetings, including minute-taking.
    • Experience of working in a charity or non-profit organization.
    • Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and produce concise reports.
    • Skilled in organizing meetings and taking minutes.
    • Understanding of the need for professional confidentiality.
Terms and Conditions
  • Salary and Benefits
    • £28,000 per annum, pro rata.
    • 25 days paid leave per year, plus public holidays.
    • Flexible working hours and homeworking arrangements.
  • Working Hours
    • 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
    • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Probation and Notice Periods
    • 6 month probationary period.
    • 8 week notice period, upon completion of probation.
