Job Title: Finishing Specialist

Job Type: Contract till end of December 2025

Rate: £16.28 PAYE per hour increasing to £16.77 after 12 weeks

Overtime: Paid at a premium of time and a half, double pay on Sundays

Hours: 07:30-16:15, Monday-Thursday, 07:30-11:30 Friday

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Specialist to join our team at Orion Electrotech. As a Finishing Specialist, you will be responsible for the precise application of paint and specialized coatings to various components.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare component surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
2. Ensure proper surface condition for optimal paint adhesion and finish.
3. Apply specialized coatings, including primers, topcoats, heat-resistant, anti-corrosive, or other protective layers as required.
4. Inspect finished components to ensure uniformity, quality, and adherence to specifications.
5. Operate and maintain all painting equipment, including spray booths, spray guns, and mixers.
6. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including personal protective equipment (PPE).
7. Maintain detailed records of materials used, work performed, and inspection results.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in spray painting and prepping techniques.
2. Worked with spraying components.
3. Background working in Aerospace (not essential).
4. Great attention to detail.
