About the Role

Orbis Education and Care Limited is seeking a dedicated and passionate support worker to join our compassionate and energetic team at Dan Y Coed. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting their daily activities, educational needs, and personal development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team.
  • Support our young people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our young people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
Requirements
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
  • Driving Licence preferred but not essential.
Salary and Benefits

We are offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a range of benefits, including a 'refer a friend' scheme, clear career progression, and valuable qualifications.
