Job Purpose:

The Technical Director - Façades will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of work for all scope, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

The role will involve monitoring designs and managing timely deliverables and project management to help the organization deliver projects to customers in time and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Enforce business strategies and develop company objectives.
  2. Oversee senior management staff and coordinate with department heads.
  3. Attend meetings and improve productivity levels.
  4. Monitor budget and work closely with top management towards profitability.
  5. Create concepts and design briefs, adding value to design.
  6. Develop specifications of projects and make decisions.
  7. Spearhead façade designs, driving strategic growth and offering comprehensive services to clients.
  8. Identify and develop talent within the team and establish new roles for proficient in-house delivery of design services.
  9. Lead the façade design team, setting performance objectives and fostering personal growth.
  10. Provide high-level value engineering led technical expertise when applying structural engineering principles, techniques, and methods to the planning and design of building services projects.
  11. Expand services through strategic partnerships and collaboration with engineering teams.
  12. Innovate beyond conventional practices by harnessing software tools like Rhino, Grasshopper, etc., and automation for enhanced effectiveness.
  13. Contribute to business development, nurturing client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.
  14. Shape marketing materials and provide insights into bids, fee proposals, and delivery methodologies.
  15. Have wide-ranging technical expertise including knowledge of façade structural and thermal calculations, specifications, and performance requirements, technical due diligence surveys, etc.
  16. Knowledge of FEA programs including non-linear/thermal analysis programs.
