We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in Havering. As a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students with SEN, assisting with lesson planning, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Job Description:

  • Deliver individualized support to students with SEN, enhancing their educational and personal development.
  • Support the class teacher in designing and implementing inclusive lessons, catering to diverse learning needs.
  • Cultivate a supportive learning environment, promoting independence and confidence among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to develop personalized support plans for students with SEN.
  • Monitor and record student progress, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant with SEN expertise in a mainstream school setting.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children and young people, coupled with patience and empathy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Adaptability and flexibility, allowing you to thrive in various educational environments.

What We Offer:
