We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. You will also be required to deliver loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads, using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and deliver customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer
  • Ensure load security using ratchet straps
  • Deliver loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customers' expectations
Requirements
  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
