Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Financial Operations Director to join our team at Wren Kitchens. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate operational financial data to the business. Your expertise will be crucial in interrogating large amounts of data to gain valuable business insights and protect the company's assets through robust financial integrity.
Main responsibilities include:
- Leading the operations finance team to achieve seamless financial processes and effective cost control
- Collaborating with the purchasing team to optimize stock holdings and purchasing forecasts
- Ensuring the production of weekly manufacturing and transport packs, highlighting key performance indicators and variances
- Preparing weekly financial commentary on volumes, manufacturing and material variance, fixed costs, and site margin
- Analyzing MUV/PPV/MPV data and direct and indirect labour trends to inform business decisions
- Maintaining accurate fixed asset registers for sites and transportation
- Reviewing outcomes of weekly performance improvement counts and refining processes accordingly
- Reviewing weekly accounts for operational numbers prior to submission
- Working closely with the System & Data lead to ensure master data accuracy and alignment across all systems
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A qualified accounting background (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with recognized ERP systems, preferably IFS
- Previous experience gained in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and suppliers
