Located in Merseyside, this role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who will take responsibility for maintaining equipment and machinery at the site, ensuring smooth running and high-quality chemical products. The successful candidate will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to respond quickly and efficiently to machine breakdowns, communicate progress, and complete documentation.
- Maintain equipment to produce high-quality chemical products
- Work collaboratively with the Manufacturing Manager to address machine breakdowns and maintain production efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and uphold these standards across all teams
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong educational background in mechanical engineering, preferably NVQ Level 4, HNC, or a degree. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have experience working in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic welding is essential, as well as a proven track record of implementing PPM systems and adhering to health and safety protocols.
- An educational background in mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 4, HNC, or degree)

- Multi-skilled engineer with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic welding

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum, free onsite parking, 23 days holiday rising to 25 after 5 years plus statutory holidays, and a pension scheme. The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, and Friday, 7am-12pm.
