Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pupil Support Teacher to join our Support Department within Perth Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a rich learning environment for young people within the support department, utilizing knowledge and skills of additional support needs.
- Work in partnership with specialist services to meet the needs of learners and provide consultation opportunities to staff and parents.
- Model good practice and help to build capacity of other adults in school through developing and leading collegiate activities.
- Develop and implement inclusive practices to support learners with additional support needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a range of interventions to overcome barriers to learning.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Significant experience of teaching, with some experience in a support role.
- Depth of knowledge and understanding of additional support needs, barriers to learning, and interventions to overcome these.
- Flexible and solution-focused approach to work in a busy and rewarding educational environment.
- Ability to evidence experience of delivering wider achievement opportunities for young people.
